William Shakespeare wrote, "All the world's a stage" and honestly it's true. This planet is full of actors, performers, illusionists and more. Individuals who have mastered the art of portrayal and misdirection. Though some are doing it with nefarious intentions others are simply trying to blend in and get by.
There's this notion that there is one particular look of depression. Those sad eyes looking down at the ground with slumped shoulders speaking with the energy of a dial tone...depression can be found behind laughter, smiles, a "good job", a beautiful family, nice cars, a fit body, an ambitious woman, a "manly" man.
In a world filled with Oscar caliber performances it's easy to forget that the most tragic tales can be told by a smiling face.
This moment is dedicated to reminding us to take some time to check in on our people and remember there's no shame in pain.
